On the day Vera is supposed to marry Damien, her perfect wedding turns into a nightmare when she discovers him in bed with her best friend, Selina. Hidden nearby, Vera overhears their cruel plan to secretly poison her with a vampire toxin that will erase her memories before they abandon her.

Determined not to become their victim, Vera secretly takes the antidote and pretends the poison has worked. Believing she remembers nothing, Damien wastes no time finding a replacement. He orders his brother, Nikolai, to take his place and pretend to be Vera’s husband.

Rather than expose herself, Vera plays along with the deception while secretly investigating Damien and Selina. But the longer she lives with Nikolai, the more she notices the tenderness behind his cold exterior. She begins to suspect that Nikolai’s feelings for her may have started long before this elaborate scheme.

Then Damien suddenly regrets betraying her and demands that Vera return to him.

With her fake husband revealing a love she never expected and her real husband desperately seeking another chance, Vera finds herself caught between two brothers. But as the truth behind the betrayal finally comes to light, she must decide whether to return to the man she once loved or choose the man who stood beside her when everyone else turned against her.
